The NEW Co Pilot II systems represent the culmination of years of cumulative technological development and manufacturing knowledge in commercial flight stabilization. FMA's patented Infrared thermo-technology for semi-automomous control of R/C model aircraft has an outstanding reputation, with ten's of thousands of units sold. Adding an additional level of safety to model aircrafts of all types, the time-proven concept has enabled pilots from all over the world to fly with confidence, learn new aerobatic manuevers, protect their investment in case of electronic or mechanical failure, and assist modelers of all experience and skill levels to just feel more confident when flying.
The CPII is far more than a simple wing leveling device. Yes, it will bring your aircraft to straight and level flight from any attitude simply by centering the control sticks, but the new system includes features and enhancements that go far beyond its predecessors. Fueled by the amazing new IRNet (Infrared network) for wire-free control of on-board avionics, setup has never been simpler. Just point the the wireless IRNet programmer at the aircraft, access the main menu option "Quick Setup" and Co Pilot II's advanced computer system walks you through a series of simple questions pertaining to how you have chosen to install the various components such as main sensor, vertical sensor, as well as how you have chosen to configure remote ON/OFF functions and new Flight Modes. Yes, the CPII includes all new 3D modes that can easily and safely enable you to learn or practice new maneuvers like inverted flight, knife edge, or vertical hover, all at the flip of a switch. If the aircraft falls out of the intended attitude, Co Pilot II knows it. It will de-activate the 3D mode, and activate level flight mode or Co Pilot OFF, whichever you have chosen.
The new smaller and lighter digital sensors and computer modules also allow for installation across a wide number of platforms. The system supports any conceivable aircraft configurations from airplanes, to heli's, to VTOL; any aircraft which require no more than 4 channels to operate pitch and roll. This includes support split or differential ailerons, flapperons, all forms of CCPM helicopters and more!
Standard System Combo Description/Contents:
CPII-C1 is the basic system. All features are similar to the other combo's, but without the vertical sensor, automatic temperature calibration is not available. Calibration is simple to do and without the vertical sensor installed, the menu system will automatically include another option for calibration. Calibration should be performed 1 time per flying day, or whenever the weather conditions change drastically. Also, without the vertical sensor installed, the aircraft is likely to recover from inverted flight using a split-S maneuver (half of an outside loop) which, if the aircraft is not at high enough altitude can result in contact with the ground. The vertical sensor, when installed, always forces Co Pilot II to roll the aircraft from inverted flight with little loss of altitude. Finally, without the vertical sensor, certain 3D flight modes such as knife edge and vertical hover are not possible. Combo 1 also does not include the PC interface which means you will not be able to access automatic firmware updates using a personal computer running Windows operating systems.
CPII-C2 - Combo 2 includes the vertical sensor which will allow automatic and continuous, in-flight weather calibration, the added intelligence of having the aircraft always recover from inverted flight to level flight by rolling the aircraft, and access to all 3D flight modes. Combo 2 also does not include the PC interface which means you will not be able to access automatic firmware updates using a personal computer running Windows operating systems.
CPII-C3 - Combo 3 includes all current system components available for Co Pilot II including the vertical sensor and the FUIM3 PC interface.
CPII-C4 - Combo 4 is available to customers who wish to outfit another aircraft but do not need the IRNet programmer.
CPII-C5 - Combo 5 is available to customers who wish to outfit another aircraft but do not need the IRNet programmer or router.

"Co-Pilot II Display Software" - Download this FREE application from the Resources tab on the right. Use the Windows PC software and the FUIM3 PC USB interface instead of the IRNet Programmer and Router. Access all CPII menus, setup, and preflight features directly using your PC.
*note - the Co-Pilot II Display Software requires the FUIM3 PC USB interface and will not work with the older FUIM2.
Co Pilot II LT, 4 Channel Flight Stabilization System

For the budget-conscious customer looking for all of the benefits of the amazing CPII Flight Stabilization System, consider the LT combos. These combos offer all of the same features as the standard CPII systems, but require a Windows PC for setup, programming. The combos include the FUIM3 PC USB interface and the CPII Go LED. Download the Co-Pilot II Display software from the Resource tab to the right. Connect the FUIM3 between your PC's USB port and the IRNET port on the CPII Avionics computer. The PC software mirrors all of the functions previously available only using the IRNet programmer and router. But the included CPII Go LED means you will always know the weather reading and any system error messages in real-time by glancing at the 3 super-bright LED's.
LT System Combo Description/Contents:
CPII-L-C1 - Combo 1 includes 1 CPII Computer Module, 1 Main Sensor, 1 CPII-GOLED, 1 FUIM3 PC USB Interface, 1 Mounting Accessory Kit. CPII Go LED mode button supports manual weather calibration. Without the vertical sensor, automatic and continuous weather calibration is not possible. Also the aircraft will not know when it is inverted. Recovery from inverted flight may result in a split-S maneuver (half of an inside loop). Depending on altitude and aircraft type, this may cause a collision with the ground.
CPII-L-C2 - Combo 2 includes 1 CPII Computer Module, 1 Main Sensor, 1 Vertical Sensor, 1 CPII-GOLED, 1 FUIM3 PC USB Interface, 1 Mounting Accessory Kit
