To obtain support for the new LiHV chemistry and the new Blend427/Blend435 batteries for the Cellpro 10XP charger, proceed as follows:

1) Update your CP10XP Charge Control Software (CCS) installation. This may be accomplished by launching the application, closing it, then launching it again. Be sure to click "OK" when prompted to update the application. Alternatively, click the top graphic above to navigate to the Resources tab for the CP10XP, then click on the link to the CCS Installation page to re-install the application. Either method accomplishes the same objective.

2) With the CP10XP powered up, connected to the PC via the FUIM3 PC Interface, and communicating with the CCS (look for "Waiting to Start" at the top of the program application window), click the Firmware tab, highlight the latest firmware version in the list, then click "Update Firmware".

3) After the CCS and the CP10XP confirm the firmware has been updated, utilize the CCS Presets tab to alter one of the 10 available presets to select either of the new LiHV chemistries using the Chemistry pull-down for the chosen preset. The available options are: "LiHV Bal. 4.27V" or "LiHV Bal. 4.35V". Then be sure to use the Fuel Table pull-down to confirm/select the corresponding Fuel Table that will be loaded for the chosen Chemistry. In the Name field, enter a unique name to match the new preset you're setting up; e.g. "LiHV Blend 427" or LiHV Blend 435". This will ensure you only use presets with LiHV-enabled chemistries to charge LiHV batteries. Repeat these steps if you have LiHV batteries which require both of the new available chemistries.

Note: The new LiHV Blend427/Blend435 chemistries work with any brand of High Voltage LiPo batteries that may accept max. charge voltages of 4.27V or 4.35V, respectively. Also, please be advised, while the new Blends are designed to sustain and safely operate at the higher charge voltages indicated, you may experience a small compromise in life expectancy when operating at the specified higher voltages for prolonged periods.

NEVER UTILIZE THE NEW LiHV CHEMISTRY PRESETS TO CHARGE STANDARD (4.20V) LiPo's. OVERCHARGING ANY LiPo BATTERY ABOVE ITS MAX. SPEC CHARGE VOLTAGE RATING CAN RESULT IN FIRE!

NEVER CHARGE ANY LITHIUM BATTERY UNATTENDED!
